DAY 8

Hi all,

Today we head North and up through Cottonwood Canyon. We always take this road when
traveling from Page Az to Bryce UT. It's only a 50 mile trip but takes you 4 to 5 hours because
of all the interesting sites.

First we spot a mom and her 2 youngsters.

Because they had so much rain here everything is green and in bloom.

One of the first things you notice are these big blocks of earth turned on their side.

There are places where these chunks are one after another.

Different types of rock just pop up out of the ground anywhere.

You never know what you might find in a rock out here.

Wild flowers in bloom.

Some of the rocks are bigger than houses.

Some of the neat things popping up in the dried mud.

Watch where you step. You may be stepping on a prickly pear.

You can get lost in this forest of cottonwoods.

We spot this little guy sitting on a rock.

I found this big cave and told Sue & Prilly to go in it and I will be right behind them.

Check out this rock formation.

It looks like a sculpture.

Go a mile down the road and it all changes.

It looks like the earth was ripped apart in places.

We see these two cows discussing what was for dinner. Grass or Hay ?

Chimney Rock.

How can rocks be so beautiful !

Sue found us a fix-me-upper.

Glad we don't need gas.

We decided to stop in Bryce for the night and saw these guys next to the road.

Coming into Bryce as the sun sets.

Tomorrow we head North to Escalante then on to Torrey UT.

See you on Day 9 Ralph, Prilly & Sue
